Mr. Henry Lee "Saw Dust" Murphy, 70, of 833 Ward Road, Harrells, NC, passed away on Saturday October 1, 2016, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016, at 1pm, at Peters Tabernacle Baptist Church, Wallace, NC, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Jerry Grimes.  Burial will follow in Garland Community Cemetery.

Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife, Barbara M. Murphy, of the home; daughters, Tammy Maynard, Hope Mills, NC, Natia Ridges, Wake Forest, NC, Jackie M. Williams, Charlotte, NC and Dametria Pratt, Wallace, NC; sons, Randy Herring, Garner, NC and David T. Murphy, Charlotte, NC; sisters, Doris Mccullough, Fayetteville, NC, Joann Warren, Clinton, NC and Anne F. Herring, Morrow, GA., brother, Danny R. Murphy, Garland, NC; 22 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

a visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016, from 1-7pm, with family being present from 6-7pm at the mortuary.
