Marha was a friend, mentor and wonderful Christian example. I had the privilege to work with her and for her during my 5 years as a teacher at Vero Beach High School, but her impact on me has continued throughout the years. She was the consummate professional and saw people through the lens of their potential and the intent of their hearts. She cared enough for me to speak honestly and help me grow as a person and as a teacher. During my time at the high school I started dating a fellow teacher. That teacher's mom was looking for an honest evaluation of me and she approached her friend Martha. Martha's endorsement reassured her friend, Dorothy Talbert, and later this year her daughter Angie and I will celebrate our 25th anniversary. Dear Lord, Thank you for blessing my life and our family's life by Martha's presence. Amen
