Mrs. Jeraldine Gardner McCorkle was born December 30, 1939 to the late Roosevelt Gardner, Sr. and Ethel Broome Gardner.  She entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Stanley Total Living Center in Stanley, North Carolina.

She was a lifetime member of New Providence Baptist Church, Mt. Holly, North Carolina where she served as the Church Secretary for many years.  She worked for vision Hersey Company and retired from Stanley Christian Academy after fifteen years.

She was educated at Rollins Elementary School in Mt. Holly, North Carolina and Reid High School in Belmont, North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold McCorkle and her sister, Mildred Moore.

She leaves to cherish precious memories, one daughter, Mary A. Arnold; one son, Travis L. McCorkle; one sister-in-law, Joyce Rankin whom she raised; five grandchildren, Jerry Brooks, Krisha Barnes, Shuntal Anderson, Travis McCorkle, Jr. and Travis Sharpe; seven great grandchild and one great great grandchild; sister, Dorothy Gardner, Hazeline Gardner, Reverend Irma Gardner, Elaine Brooks (Burrell) and Robin Armstrong; brother, Ronnie Gardner (Lena) and Roosevelt Gardner, Jr. (Ernestine); four sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   

Funeral Arrangements 

New Providence Baptist Church
1104 Old Highway 27
Mt. Holly, N.C.  

Saturday, November 12, 2016 @ 12:30 P.M.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday for thirty minutes prior to funeral
(12:00 until 12:30 p.m.)

    Jeraldine always had a quiet and gentle spirit. I admired that. She will be remembered fondly by my family and me. It is my prayer that you find comfort in knowing that she is in a BETTER place with our God.
