Gene Russell Brinson was born on January 28, 1944 in Bartow, GA to Otis Brinson, Sr and Willie Clyde Hannah Brinson.  Gene completed school in Bartow and relocated to Brooklyn, NY and later to White Plains where he remained until he was called home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Tarver Grove Baptist Church and Cemetery, Bartow, GA.

Gene continued his education at Rochambeau school in White Plains and later became employed at A & C Auto Body Shop.

Gene was a baseball fan.  He loved the New York Mets.  Win or lose the Mets was his team.  Gene also love to sing.  He and his friends and brothers would get together sing some old gospel spirituals.

On December 14, 1963 Gene married Mary Lou Mickens.  With this union six children were born.

Gene leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 53 years Mary of White Plains, NY.  Five children Patricia (Jeff) of Elmsford, NY, Eugenia (Larry) and Priscilla of White Plains , Coretta (Brenton) and Eugene, Jr ( Shaniya) of Yonkers, NY.  A grandson he raised as a son Reggie Williams of White Plains . 3 sisters Clara Nedward and Eunice Brinson of Bartow and Rhina Brinson of White Plains.  1 brother Otis, Jr. ( Mary) of Augusta, GA, 1 brother -in- law James Mickens of Summerton, SC, 4 sisters-in-laws Regina Brinson and Shirley Brinson of Bartow , Betty Conyers of Pinewood, SC and Helen Mickens of Bowie, MD. Two aunts Beulah Moyes of Bartow, GA and Bell Brinson of Decatur, GA. 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Gene is predeceased in death by his parents,  his daughter Clara Marie , his brothers Richard and Calvin, brother-in-law Claude Mickens and sister-in-law. Annie Mae Conyers.

Gene will be missed.

    Daddy, As we approach our first Father's Day without you, we want you to know you are miss. We miss talking to you and hearing your laugh.
