Mrs. Rossie Wright Sanders was born on January 27, 1914 in Belmont, North Carolina to the late Elijah “Dock” Wright and  Maggie Isles Wright.  She departed this life Thursday, December 1, 2016 at White Oakes Manor in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

  She was a long time member of Friendship Christian Center, Gastonia, North Carolina where she served on the Senior Choir, Usher Board, Missionary Group, Golden Age Circle and as a Deaconess.  She was also a charter member of the Orchard Temple, Daughter of Elk, La Rose Kelly Counsel and Senior Citizens.

 She retired from the Gaston County School Systems as a dietitian.

 Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, McBrie “Buddy” Sanders and her brother, Herman Wright.

 She leaves to cherish fond memories several nieces, Clara and Josephine, great nieces, Vaughn, Myra and Clara G,; great nephews, Winfred (Garnetta), Keith and Joel (Tina); great-great nieces, Brandi (Eric) of New Jersey, Kristen, McKenzie and Sloan of Mitchellville, MD; great-great nephew, Dwight; cousins, Betty Cromwell of Winston-Salem, NC, Viviana Taylor, Louise McClean of Baltimore, MD; caring and loving neighbors, Pam Quinn, Beverly Quinn and John Paul Kennedy; a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral Arrangements 

Friendship Christian Church
Gastonia, North Carolina

Tuesday, December 6, 2016 @ 2:00 P.M.

The family will receive friends at the church for thirty minutes prior to funeral
(1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.)

    I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. Death is so hard to deal with. The bible does provide us with comfort and hope.during these times. Revelation 21:4,5 says that God will one day do away with pain and death.
