Henry Peak was born on October 17, 1946 in Brooks County, Georgia to Mr. and Mrs. Willie Peak. He married Rosa Hollis and relocated to Harve de Grace, Maryland. This union blessed them with 3 children: a set of twin boys, Donald and Darrell and one daughter, Theresa.

Henry enjoyed a simplistic lifestyle consisting of hard work as an engineer at American Cyanamid, now known as Cytec for over 30 years. Henry was a family man who had a way with his sometimes-ornery sense of humor. Even through this, he had a way of eventually getting you to laugh along with him! He also relished his skills through cooking.

Henry relocated to Florida in May of 2009. During his stay, he became a friend to many! One of his favorite pastimes included being an unofficial “neighborhood watchman”. In July of 2016, he became a resident of Brookdale Senior Living (West Palm Beach). Henry met many more friends and associates of whom he will forever be remembered for his listening ear and voice of reason.

On Monday, December 5, 2016, Henry transitioned and his presence will be treasured and cherished by all who knew him. Henry leaves behind 5 children: Donald (Terri), Darrell, Theresa, Shantay and Erika Peak. He is survived by one brother, Dudley Peak (Dorothy) and one sister, Alice King. Henry had 4 siblings to precede him in death: Will Peak, Maggie Shaw, Carrie Freeman and Grace King. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a host of sorrowing relatives, friends, neighbors and a special friend, Mary Wiseman, Valdosta, Georgia.

Funeral Service for Henry Peak will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the BTW Funeral Services Chapel, Quitman, Georgia, Elder Theresa Peak, Eulogist. Burial: Elam Church Cemetery.
