John C. Crankfield Sr., 86, of Fort Pierce, FL passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Palm Garden Nursing Home,  Vero Beach, FL.

 He was born on August 13, 1930 in Blakely,  GA and has been a resident of Saint Lucie County  over sixty eight years.

 John was retired as a security officer with a private company.  He was the Pastor and member of the Holy Ghost and Fire Christian Center.

 John loved to read and served his tour of duty with the United States Army.

 Survivors include his wife,  Joyce Ealy Crankfield of Fort Pierce, FL;  sons,  Michael T. Crankfield  of CO,  Kent B. Crankfield of San Antonio, TX, John Cornelius Crankfield Jr., of NC;  daughters, Sabrina  Bush of Port Saint Lucie, FL, Johnitha Crankfield of Orlando, FL, Pamela Kelly of Tampa, FL, Janice Sandlin of Fort Pierce, FL, Felicia Morgan of NC, Sonja Mosley of Baltimore, MD,  Belinda Darden of  Fort Pierce, FL, and  Deidre Crankfield of West Palm Beach, FL;  brother,  Morris Moore of Sanford, FL;  sisters, Annie Moore Powell of Port Saint Lucie, FL; Fannie Moore Stevens of Gifford, FL,  Clare Moore  Brown of Seffner, Norma Jean Moore Wilson of Anthony,  FL; twenty eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Gail Crankfield; parents, Dorothy Taylor and Sherman Crankfield; brother, Robert Graham and sisters, Sallie Johnson and Beauty Johnson.

 Visitation will be held 3 to 7PM Friday December 16, 2016 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held 1:30PM Saturday December 17, 2016 at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 300 South 33rd  Street,  Fort Pierce.  Burial will follow on Monday December 19, 2016 at South FL National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.

    I am truly sorry for your loss Family. I was Mr. Crankfield's insurance agent for many years and Brenda's classmate, class of 75. I will miss them both dearly. God bless you all and keep holding to God's unchanging hand! Jesus loves you and so do I. Amen
