Malory Maxwell McIver, 99, of 2224 Boone Trail Rd., Sanford, NC, passed away Friday, 12/16/2016 at Central Carolina Hospital. Born November 7, 1917 in Lee County, to the late Malry and Clara Bynum McIver.
Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon Wednesday, 12/21/2016 at St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Church, 550 Cumnock Rd., Sanford, NC; Viewing one hour prior to service.

Survivors: three sons, Mallory M. McIver, Jr. (Brenda), of Sanford, Charles M. McIver (Diane) of Durham, NC and Steven McIver of Greensboro, NC; one sister-in-law, Nora Douglas of Raleigh, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.

    I worked with Mr. McIver in 1964-65 & worked for him once harvesting tobacco. I've been long gone from Sanford but remember him as a really good man. I'm sorry for your loss.

    I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your love one Malory. My deepest condolences are with your family. During this time of sorrow words of comfort are most difficult to express to your family. However, the Bible offers the best comfort to your family. Acts 24:14 states this regarding Malory the Bible offer this message for her. resurrection. "And I have hope towards God, which these men themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous". Furthermore, the Bible addresses your pain. 2Corinthians 1:3,4 says "Blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort ". Therefore, draw close to the God of all comfort Jehovah, because he will sustain you at time time of sorrow.
