Funeral service for Mrs. Alicia Amogene Scott will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the King Branch Baptist Church in Carnesville, GA.

Mrs. Alicia Gene AKA Amogene Scott departed this life on December 16, 2016 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart in Lavonia, GA.  She was born on January 28, 1939 to the late Roy and Rosalyn Butler.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Scott, as well as two brothers, Roy and Walter Butler, and two sisters, Shirley Latten and Lois Butler.

She was a beloved mother and her children include a son, Kenny (Jennifer) Scott and a daughter, Shelia Tabor.  She also leaves to mourn one Aunt, Geneva Butler; three brothers, Willard, Stewart and Preston Butler and two sisters, Ada Sue Butler Brown and Varnette (David) Pittman; five grandchildren, Shereeka Mayfield, Monique Gaither, Kendrick Wilson, Kentavious Wilson and Kareem Butler; and four great-grandchildren.

Amogene was a member of Kings Branch Baptist Church for her entire life.
