Her Sincere Quote: “Thank Jesus for what He is to me”

Warnilla Carter Odom, better known as “Neat,” was born on October 9, 1924, to the late Oscar and Liza Carter in Lamar County. She joined the Church of God in Christ at an early age and remained active until her health declined.

Warnilla was preceded in death by one son, Welton; one daughter, Jessie; six sisters; four brothers; one aunt; and one uncle.

Warnilla leaves to cherish her memories: seven daughters, Shirley, Geneva, Freddie Faye, Jonell, Jonell, Deborah, Evelyn and Carolyn; four sons Larry, Edward, Clarence and David; 50 grandchildren, 80 great- grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren. Warnilla was also loved and supported by a host of wonderful nieces, cousins and friends.

Warnilla was also loved and supported by a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and friend.

What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, For all that we love deeply becomes part of us.

To the family, my condolences for the loss of your Mom. Do not let your hearts be troubled, exercise faith in God, exercise faith in me (John 14: 1). Jesus says at John 5: 28, 29 Those in the memorial tomb will hear my voice and come out.
