~ The Life ~

Edrick Lamar Parson, the beloved son of Tammy Parson and the late Leroy Aikens, Sr. was born September 20, 1991 in Thomasville, Georgia. He was educated in the Brooks County School system. He was a member of Crusaders For Christ Church. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ricardo Aikens. He departed this life on December 24, 2016.

He leaves many memories to mourn his absence; a loving mother, Tammy Parson, Valdosta, GA; his grandmother, Beulah Chandler; one daughter, Ed’Drihanna Parson; one son, Colby Parson; nine brothers, Demetrius Parson, Willie Harris, Jr., Sheldon Parson (Shakira), Robert Aikens, Leroy Aikens, Jr., Jarvis Aikens, Royce Aikens, Robert L. Aikens and Montell Aikens; eight sisters, Qui-Asia Parson, Juanita Hogan, Kimberly Aikens, Jessica Ghee, Juanita Ghee, Valencia Aikens, Iesha Aikens and Makala Aikens; four aunts, Dianne Arnold (Remer), Freddie Mae Parson, Angela Lowe and Vanessa Powell; three great aunts, Barbara White, Lula Bentley and Louvenia Denson; two very special friends, Netavis Dennard and Min. Ottie Ratliff and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 3PM at Tabernacle Church of God in Unity with Bishop Nathan Curtis, eulogist.  Burial will follow in the Second Elizabeth Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday at the Stevens-McGhee Chapel from 1PM until 8:30PM.
