Burial in Church Cemetery

On October 24, 1954, Ann was born to the late Aso Lee and Susie Lott Lee in Marion County, Mississippi. Ann’s Journey here on earth ended on January 16, 2017, 12:30 a.m., at Marion General Hospital, Columbia, Mississippi.

Ann joined Christian Union Missionary Baptist Church as a young child and continued her service until her health declined. She sang in the choir and was president of the Usher Board, and a member of the Mission.

Ann attended Marion Central High School and continued her education at Mississippi Valley State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. Ann was employed with Pearl River Valley Opportunity, Inc. for several years. Always a hard-working woman, Ann believed in saving and taking care of what God blessed her with. We thank God for allowing us to know and love such a great woman such as Ann. She touched the lives of so many people in the work place and in the community.

Ann was united in holy matrimony with James Patton in 1980. To their union one beloved son was born: James Rodney(Little Rod) Patton. Ann taught him to be respectful and loyal to all people.

Those who preceded Ann in death includes her parents; brothers, Aso Lee, Jr. Larry Lee and George Lee; sister, Patricia Lee Primas.

Ann leaves to cherish her memory; husband, James Patton and son, James Rodney Patton of Columbia, MS; two sisters, Judy (Johnny) Barnes of Foxworth, MS and Mary L. Lee of Sumrall, MS; one brother, Carlton (Patricia) Lee of Sumrall, MS three sister-in-laws, Susan Lee of Somerset, NJ, Willye Mae Lee of New Brunswick, NJ, Sheryl Lee of Lawnside, NJ; four aunts, Sarah Washington, Missouri Clements, Barbara (Leonard) Williams, all of Jackson, MS and Mary (Willie) Smith of Allentown, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
