A funeral service celebrating the life of Rev. Gregory Fryson will be held Tuesday Jan. 24, 2017 at 11 am at Second Baptist Church with Rev. James McKeithan delivering the eulogy. Rev. Gregory was called to his Heavenly home on January 15, 2017 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.  Rev. Fryson was born December 27, 1949 in Youngstown, OH a son of Robert L. Cora L. Moore Fryson Sr. He was a graduate of South High School and studied Theology at Youngstown State University. He proudly served in the United States Army serving from 1971-1973.  On March 28, 1999 he was ordained as a minister at Community Missionary Baptist Church.  He was formerly employed with U.S. Steel, Kessler Products and George Junior Republic.  
He enjoyed art,drawing and building model airplanes but and spending time with his family and friends was most important to him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, the former Lynn C. Hurst of Sharon; his father of  Youngstown; his son, Leon (Dia) Haskins of Youngstown; his step son, Michael and Danetta Hurst; his stepdaughter, Marlene( Eric) Gibbs; his siblings, Robert L. Fryson Jr. Alicia V. Fryson Anderson, Denise L. Fryson, Odee Wright, Rev. Theodore (Rachel) Brown of Youngstown, Donna Davenport of Cinn, OH; a host of grandchildren including his special granddaughters, Tearia Douglas, Erica Gibbs; a host of other relatives and dear friends.  
He was preceded in death by his mother; and his step sister, Wanda L. Jackson
Friends may call Monday from 3-5 pm at Washington Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10-11 am at the church.
