The Obituary

On November 19, 1946, Leneice Patricia Allen Bryant was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Alva and Boyce Allen in Atlanta, Georgia.  While growing up in Atlanta, Leneice attended Georgia public schools before graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Fort Valley State University.

On June 14, 1970, Leneice married her college sweetheart, Willie James Bryant. Soon after, Leneice and Willie moved to Clearwater/Largo, Florida. Upon their arrival, she worked in a variety of service fields such as the Pinellas County Urban League and Allstate Insurance Company before retiring from St. Petersburg College.

Throughout her life, Leneice demonstrated a sincere passion for helping others and her community. As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she participated in painting elderly homes, organizing debutantes ball, tutoring youths, and chaperoning youth college tours. Leneice was not only passionate about community service, she was also an avid traveler. Her desire to see the world took her to places such as Europe, Russia, Canada, Italy, Monte Carlo, and the Caribbean.

Leneice lives on in the hearts and memories of her loving and devoted husband for over 46 years; three sons, Bernard (Mae), Keif (Yolanda), and Dante (Erika); one sister, Gayle Grant; two grandchildren, Rylie (granddaughter) and Mason (grandson), and a host of loving family and friends. Leneice was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Alva Allen, Jr. and Egger Allen.

Leneice passed from this life on the morning of Saturday, January 21, 2017.
