I've known Mother Carolyn Elzy since she was six years old. As a young lady, she was very activy within Watkins Temple Church of God in Christ. She served as Sunday School teacher, secretary, and a devoted leader in the choir. In her later years, she was a loyal secretary for the district Home and Foreign Mission. I knew her as a woman that took her duties to her family and her church very serious. My prayers are with the family. Mother Rosie Bell

Pastor Elzy, Levi, Stephanie and Lisa; Words cannot even form to tell you how hurt I am for you all. Our families have so much in common with our younger sibling being born around the same time. I will never forget the kindness your mom had toward my older brother Tony and sister Angie. She was the epitome of sweetness and I will forever remember that. You are in my thoughts and prayers!!! Love Trina

To Lisa and Family: Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well. In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am. John 14:2. Lisa I love you Pooh I am here whenever you want to talk or come visit. Keep your head up babygirl, because your mom is walking with you and she's watching you. I am praying for you and with you all. God Bless. Love Auntie.

To Levi E Jr., we met nearly 30 years ago and parted ways, and still I feel as though you and your family are part of my own. I remember meeting your dad, and they always say, "behind every great man stands a great woman" and I'll bet Miss Carolyn lived up to every bit of that notion. Stay Strong. God Bless.
