MR. WILLIAM MARSH

William Clayton Marsh was born April 2, 1951 to the late Curtis and Joyce Wall Marsh.  William departed to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, February 10, 2017.

William accepted Christ at Flint Ridge Baptist Church.  William was a loving brother, father, grandfather and a kind friend.  William attended Forest Hill School.  William worked in the poultry industry since 1981.  William was an original member of the quartet group "The Mighty True Believers of Marshville."  The group ministered the gospel through song for close to 25 years.  William was a lover of basketball and baseball.  He loved the outdoors and working with his hands.  William was a member of Macedonia Holiness Church.

William leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Michael Marsh of Charlotte NC; two daughters, W. Mesha Burch-Deberry (Chuck) of Marshville, NC and Kimberly Murrell (Herbert) of Charlotte, NC.  William has two granddaughters, Jasmine Deberry and Abreyah Burch and one grandson, Orlando Burch of Marshville, NC.

Ten siblings:  Mary Howard (Luther) of Marshville, NC, Helen Chambers (Thurman) of Marshville, NC, Carl Marsh (Clarice) of Marshville, NC, Harold Marsh (Birdie) of Monroe, NC, Nelson Marsh (Maxine) of Wadesboro, NC, Vivian Chambers (Michael) of Wadesboro, NC, Cathy Crawford (Larry) of Pageland, SC, Jeffery Marsh, Thurlow Marsh and Sheretha Marsh of Wadesboro, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.


Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 16, 2017, 1:00pm, Christ Bible Discipleship Worship Center, Marshville, North Carolina.  Burial followed in the Marsh Family Plot of Antoich Baptist Church Cemetery, Monroe, North Carolina.
