I am now in heaven, and oh, the place is grand!

No one could ever tell me all the beauties of this land.

Since I cannot describe it, you will have to come and see

That is was worth the trials, to live here eternally!


Mr. John V. Davis, age 97, of 200 Hall Memorial Drive Apt. 2K in Warrenton, NC passed away on February 12, 2017 at Maria Parham Health in Henderson, North Carolina.


 Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 1:30 P.M. at Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church in Warrenton, North Carolina. Rev. Eddie W. Lawrence will officiate and burial will follow at church cemetery. 

He leaves to cherish his memories, five daughters, Lula Powell of Macon, NC, Genevia Skipwith (William) and Maria Cheek both of Warrenton, NC, Francis Clinton (Ronald) of Baltimore, MD, and Tina Wyche (Cardell) of Manson, NC; two sons, Walter Howard Davis (Carolyn) and Bobby Jewel Davis both of Manson, NC. One Brother Samuel Davis (Lola) of Virginia; Twenty-seven grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 


The body will be on view Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Boyd’s Funeral Services in Warrenton, North Carolina.
