Carol Joan Satrapa of Raleigh N.C.died February 17 2017.
She was the daughter of Florence and Harrison Leverett born on April 13 1941.
She is survived by her beloved standard poodle Bella, husband Dennis Smylie 3 sons Dunkin Standish of FLA., Jeffrey Standish and wife Maggie of CO., Vance Satrapa and wife Opal of NC.,two special loved grandchildren Jacqueline Standish and Xander Satrapa 1 sister Sandra Derieg and husband Daniel of ID., and brother Norman Leverett and wife Greta of CAL.,
Carol received a BA from West Florida University. She was a avid reader and loved to be surrounded by books.
A private celebration of life to follow in Aspen Colorado.

    We send our love to you. My first memory of Carol was her visit in 3rd grade: Beautiful, elegant, so smart and interesting. So thankful for who she was and the legacy she leaves. May peace and grace follow through these next days. Love from here in California.
