          Karen June Yarbrough, 73, a resident of Sierra County for 18 years, died on Friday, February 17, 2017, at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.  She was born on June 14, 1943 in The Dalles, Oregon to Roy Arthur and Mary (Bartholdi) Anderson.

          Karen enjoyed reading and playing Bingo.  Survivors include her children – Jeanne Evatt & husband, Peter, Shelley Lindsay & husband, Todd, and Bryan Leibowitz; grandchildren – Tawney Sippy & husband, Lance, Wyatt Lindsay and Jeremy Schmitt; great-grandchild, Luke Sippy; siblings – Barbara Johnson & husband, Raymond, Wanda Burnell & husband, Oral, Virginia Miller and Donald Anderson & wife, Marilyn.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Arthur and Mary Anderson; brother, LeRoy Anderson; and sister, Helen Stout.

          Cremation will take place and a Memorial Celebration Service will be held at the Caballo Church on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. with her son-in-law, Todd Lindsay, officiating.

    Sorry to hear about your loss. Accept my deepest sumpathies. It is not easy to lose someone dear. May you find some comfort in the words of Psalms 46:1 which says : "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." Yes, our Loving God cares for us and he promised that there will be a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored into a paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11, 29) Can you see yourself there, enjoying the peace and there comes towards your dear loved one who felt asleep in death?
