Mr. Ronald P. Robinson, 70, the only son of the late Joseph Nathaniel Robinson and Helen Marshall Robinson, was born on November 7, 1946 in Gastonia, North Carolina.  He departed this life after a longtime illness at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Although he attended church with his mother at St. Stephens A.M.E. Zion Church, Gastonia, North Carolina, he joined his father’s church, Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Gastonia, North Carolina.

He attended public school in Gastonia, North Carolina and graduated from Highland High School, Gastonia, North Carolina.  He continued his education at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing.  He later attended Northwestern University and graduated with a Masters Degree in Marketing.

He worked as a salesman for Bell and Howell in Chicago for a number of years before moving to the DC Metro area.  He then left Bell and Howell to teach at Howard University in Washington, D.C. for a few years before returning to Gastonia where he taught at Gaston College, Dallas, North Carolina.

He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Ronald Scott Robinson (Chandra) of Columbia, MD; grandson, Ronald Quincy Robinson of Columbia, MD; aunt, Josie Marshall Watson (Robert) of Spartanburg, S.C.; a host of other relatives and friends.

Saturday, February 25, 2015 @ 2:00 P.M.

VISITATION
The family will receive friends at the church for thirty minutes prior to funeral
(1:30 until 2:00 p.m.)
