MRS. LINDA CASON HYATT

Ms. Linda Louise Cason Hyatt daughter of late Henry Cason and Ida Myers Cason was born on December 11, 1944 in Chesterfield County.  With peaceful humility her spirit joined in a final partnership with that of the Eternal Spirit on February 23, 2017 at her residence.  Our Mother is now rejoicing with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and laughing with her siblings who she loved dearly.

She graduated from McRae High School.  At an early age she confessed Christ and joined the Cedar Creek Baptist Church.  The family later united with New Jerusalem Holiness Church in Morven, NC. There she serviced as Church Secretary, President of Adult Choir, and member of Usher Board. In 2010 she joined the House of Faith Outreach Ministries in Wadesboro, NC to be closed to her three nieces. There she served faithfully on the Pastor’s Aid and Missionary Committee, and in 2012 she was honored with being the Church Mother. Mother Hyatt loved organizing programs to assist the ministry with completing their vision.  She was a member of VFW, Post 10403 for over 15 years where she served as former President and Senior Vice President.

For over 20 years, Mother Hyatt touched countless lives, souls, and hearts through her work as a certified nursing assistant (CNA), Garden-at-Litem (GLA) for Anson County, and surrogate foster parent for homeless and battered kids under the guidance of our heavenly Father.  Also, she volunteered at Morven Elementary School and Holla Community Development Center.

She was preceded in death by seven (7) brothers, Milas, Thomas, Howard, Henry, Johnny, Cleveland and Julius; six (6) sisters, Mammie, Ina, Rachel, Frances, Mary Ellen, and Annie Lee; two (2) brothers-in-law, Thomas Gaddy and James Sturdivant; and three (3) sisters-in-law, Mary Frances, Dora, and Dorothy Cason.

Mother Hyatt leaves to cherish her loving memories - three (3) sons, Darrin (Angeles) Hyatt of Wadesboro, NC, Rickey (Stacy) Hyatt of Westerville, OH, and Rodney Hyatt of Wadesboro, NC; four (4) daughters, Sharon (Tim) Stephens of Albemarle, NC, Priscilla (Chris) McDaniel of Morven, NC, Tacha Hyatt of Hamlet, NC and Demetris Hyatt of Morven, NC; twenty (20) grandchildren, Mel, Chucky, Darrin, Jerel, Princess, Tre’, DeMical, Mikala, Alynda,  Morghan, Mychel, Rickey, Dylan, Michael, Ryan, Omar, Torrie, Jabrika, Ryan, Fredrick (Terri), and Derrick; a special Godson, Jeremy Clark; seventeen (17) great grandchildren, Jayianna, Paris, Remia, Paishynce, Keyalana, Kainyn, DeQuon, Jewel, Teyona, Fredrick Jr., Tamia, Makayla, Camya, Josiah, Liam, Amina, Yuri; one brother-in-law, Eddie G. Melton; one sister-in-law, Annie Cason; and a host of nieces and nephews which she loved like sisters and brothers.

A Special Thanks to her caregivers--Princess Harrington, Michelle Henry, and Latonya Williams.

The Homegoing Services for Mother Hyatt were held on Thursday, March 2, 2017, 3:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina.  Burial followed in Westview Memorial Park, Highway 74-West, Wadesboro, North Carolina.

The Cason Family will greet family and friends at the Hyatt residence, 2869 Sandy Ridge Church Road, Morven, North Carolina and on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 2:30-3:00pm at Smith's Memorial Chapel.

In this time of sorrow, may these promises from the Bible comfort Mrs. Hyatt's family. Jehovah God is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are discouraged. And he will wipe away the tears from all faces. Psalm 34:18; Isaiah 25:8 NWT. Peace be with you.
