On Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:30 AM our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and sister, June Cotton, passed away.  She was born on
February 10, 1931 in El Paso, TX to William M. and Loraine (Carvel) Cole.

June was the best person I have ever known.  She touched every person she knew with kindness and a smile.  She was the matriarch of our large blended family of four generations.  No matter where any of us were across the country living our lives, we couldn’t wait to come see Grandma at the lake.  She lived her life to the fullest with joy. We are all better people for having her in our lives.  June never knew a stranger.  Her love of family and God kept strong to the end.  She is in Heaven now, where I am sure she is smiling down on all of us.  We miss you.

Survivors include her children – Paul Scott of Elephant Butte, NM, Roy Cotton of Austin, TX, Gary Cotton of Nashville, TN, Michael Scott of Dallas, TX and Roger Cotton of Longmont, CO; 10/Grandchildren and 11/Great-Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Deward Cotton and daughter, Carolyn Lackey.

A Memorial Celebration Service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church at the Butte with Rev. Joe Byers officiating.  Interment took place on March 17, 2017 in Ft. Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, Texas.
