A funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Wilfred “Big Will” Page, will be held  Wednesday at 11 am at New Bethel Baptist Church.
Mr. Page, 78, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in Youngstown, OH.
Wilfred was born in 1938 to Julia Belle and Houston Page in Mullins, South Carolina. He was the eldest of six boys and two girls. During his youth, the family moved to North Versailles, Pennsylvania where Wilfred attended East Allegheny High School. Shortly after graduation he joined the United States Navy where he served honorably for six years.
In 1963, Wilfred married Barbara Robinson and they began their journey together in Baltimore, Maryland. Three years later, they moved to Youngstown, Ohio where Wilfred took a position at General Motors. He worked for thirty-seven years before retiring to spend more time with his family. Wilfred was an active member of New Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a trustee and was a member of the usher board and marriage ministry.
Known as a consummate family man, Wilfred provided a good life for his wife and children and was the patriarch of the Houston Page bloodline. He was a powerful force and had a laugh that filled a room. He loved spoiling his grandchildren, taking care of his family, and mentoring young people.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Jackie, Joyce, Houston Jr., and Gene. He leaves to cherish his memory, Barbara, his wife of over fifty-three years; their two daughters – Nicole (Jeffrey) and Regina (Gerald); granddaughter, Kendall; grandson, Jeffrey Jr.; siblings – Edward, Betty, and Sam; his brother and sister-in-law, Delores and Clarence Robinson, his godchildren – Alicia, Andrea, Teia, and Dion, and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the church and again on Wednesday from 10am -11 am.

I'm sorry to hear about your recent loss. Please accept my deepest sympathies. May you find some comfort in the words of 1 Peter 5:7 which says: "throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you." Yes our Loving God cares so much for us that he made the provision a a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (John 5:28, 29; Psalms 37:9-11, 29). You can find out more about this wonderful hope and how we can be there to welcome our loved back to life at online
