Minister Willie Cliff Watts, a son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend transitioned from his earthly home to his eternal resting place Friday, March 10, 2017, at Forrest General Hospital.

Willie Cliff’s love for family began when he became the first child of four born on October 20, 1957 to Willie and Arlena Bolton Watts.

He had a very charming personality and a warm smile whenever you saw him. He loved spreading the joy of the Gospel, and being around family and friends. Willie Cliff lived life to the fullest, having four great loves in his life: Love for God, Love for his wife, Love for his family and Love for his work.

Willie Cliff and Easper Jean Brooks were united in holy matrimony December 19, 2002.

Preceding Willie Cliff in death were his maternal and paternal grandparents: Lewis and Parlear Cyrus Watts, Alex and Nellie Mae Brown Bolton.

After graduating from Marion Central High School Willie Cliff became employed at Dixie Paving Company, His first job was in Green County as a scraper operator and throughout the years he became construction foreman. He worked for a span of 42 years, 1975 until his demise. His employer described him as a loyal friend and employee; always upbeat and optimistic until the end, even though he was battling cancer.

Minister Willie Cliff was called to preach the Gospel in 2004. He preached his first sermon at Zion Ridge United Methodist Church in 2005 as Associate Minister.

Memories of loves, laughter, good and bad times, will be held dear by his loving and devoted wife: Easper Jean; his daughter; Elsie “Flossie” (Kevin) Cowart; parents: Willie and Arlena Watts; sisters: Annette(Tommy) Smith and Patricia Henry, and brother: Lewis Edward Watts, Sr. grandchildren: Keveon, Devron and Kristian; nieces: Marlena Tatum and Siddah Howard; Nephews; Tyler Henry, Dyland Henry, Bradon Tatum, Oatis Tatum and Lewis Edward Watts, Jr.; sister in-law: Alice Hathorn; brother in-law: Ronald(Jeanette) James; aunts uncles and many other cousins, relatives and friends
