My sincere condolences to the family during this time of loss. Even Jesus wept at the loss of a loved one. I have found comfort in the scriptural promise at John 5:28, 29 and I pray you will as well.

I would like to offer my condolences to Valerie, Veronica and the Lewis family. 87 years is quite an accomplishment according to the Bible (Psalm 90:10) and I know Willie has left you with many precious memories and will be greatly missed. Hopefully this scripture will give you comfort because Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18) is promising us he will do away with man's worst enemy, death. This is found for us at Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." The Bible also enlightens us at Hebrews 2: 14 "so that through his (Jesus) death, he (Jesus) might bring to nothing the one having the means to cause death, that is, the Devil." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matthew 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. John 6: 40 tells us: "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day." Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago. Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it." This is a wonderful promise made to us by our heavenly father and I pray it brings you comfort and hope. Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Again, I offer my sincere condolences to the family. Deacon Lewis will be sorely missed...there are few persons who have impacted me in the manner Deac has... He was a decent, upright man and a dedicated Deacon... I am a better man and whatsmore, a better Christian because of the wisdom he imparted. He is the embodiment of the analogy: "may the works that I have done speak for me". My most sincere and deep condolence to his family. God bless and keep you.

To the family of Mr. Willie Lewis, I am so sorry for you lost. I know this is a difficult time for you and your family, but take note in what the Bible say at 2 Corinthians chapter 1:verses 3 and 4 says the Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trails, so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trail with comfort that we receive from God. So we con be comforted that when Jesus said that there will be a resurrection of life for the righteous and the unrighteous, we can look forward to seeing our love ones again, so keep looking to God's Word the Bible and keeping praying and he will answer all those who are seeking him.
