I wanted to send my love and sympathies to the Johnson family. I am so sorry for hear of your recent loss. Losing a loved one in death can leave us with feelings of sadness and grief. However, the Bible provides a hope that will help to comfort us and to replace those negative feelings with those of happiness for the future. John 5:28,29 says, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." These verses speak of the opportunity to be reunited with our loved ones who have died, to experience a time when "death will be no more." (Revelation 21:4)

To the Family and Friends of Havis Johnson: I would like to express my deepest sympathy. I am sorry for your loss. The death of a love one is a painful experience. Our Heavenly Father is well aware of the hurt you feel. May the God of all comfort provide you with strength in this most difficult time (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). God promises that soon He will remove all causes of pain, suffering, and death (Revelation 21:3,4). We know that Almighty Jehovah God has not only the power but also yearns to fulfill this promise. Until that time, may you find comfort in this promise and treasure the special memories you shared.

I know it's hard losing someone you love in death, but the memories of that love one, will last forever in your heart and mind. May you find comfort in the scripture which speaks of God, being the God of all comfort who never intended for anyone to fall asleep in death. It's also comforting to know that your loved one is also remembered by God, such a wonderful provision. - 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 May this article provide you some comfort: https://www.jw.org/finder?pub=wp16&issue=201609&wtlocale=E&srcid=share

I would like to offer my condolences to the Johnson family. 86 years is quite an accomplishment according to the Bible (Psalm 90:10) and I know Mr. Havis has left you with many precious memories and will be greatly missed. Hopefully this scripture will give you comfort because Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18) is promising us he will do away with man's worst enemy, death. This is found for us at Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matthew 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. John 6: 40 tells us: "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day." Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago. Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it." This is a wonderful promise made to us by our heavenly father and I pray it brings you comfort and hope. Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Again, I offer my sincere condolences to the family. I am very sorry for your loss. However, Almighty God has provided a guarantee of a resurrection to all people in His memory by resurrecting Jesus from the dead. (Psalm 83:18; Acts 17:31) We will be able to see our loved ones again on a restored earth. (Psalm 37:11, 29)  I hope this brings you peace.
