Phyllis Elaine Davis Adams, 69, of Colebrook Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina was born April 20, 1947 in Gaston County, North Carolina and departed this life Monday, March 20, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, North Carolina.  She was the daughter of the late William "Bill" Davis and Rea Forney Davis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Adams; her aunt, Doreatha Forney who raised Phyllis and her brother, William Davis, Jr. during their childhood.

Phyllis leaves to cherish fond memories her companion for over twenty five years, Frans "Sony" Vernon; four sons, Linwood "Bernard" Davis (Evangelist Tina), Ramon Henderson, Marlowe Henderson, and Keith Henderson; eight grandchildren, Sierra Davis, Latasha Davis, Jennifer Deas, Marlowe Henderson, Jr., Torre Henderson, Ja'Race Bowens, Kiala Henderson and Anna Deas; four great grandchildren, Mariah Deas, Malaysia Deas, Quantrarious Stround and JaKaylin Stround; one brother, William Davis, Jr. (Diane); two nieces, Rita Davis and Elizabeth Davis; one nephew, Michael Davis; a host of other relatives and friends.

Saturday, March 25, 2017 @ 2:00 P.M.

VISITATION
The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to funeral.
(1:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M.)

    I'm very sorry for your loss. Death is very hard to have to deal with. The bible does provide us with comfort and hope. Revelation 21:4 says that God will wipe every tear from our eyes and death and pain will be no more. This is comforting when we realize that this has to been referring to the earth, because death and pain don't exist in heaven.
