Obituary Send Flowers Send a Card
GySgt. Retired Walter Taylor Anderson, Sr., 78, of 628 Brown Avenue Cove City died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at his home.

He is a native of Pitt County, North Carolina and served in the U. S. Marine Corps for over 20 years.   He continued his employment as a Deputy Sheriff and as a U. S. Marshall with the Court System.  He held membership at Bryant Chapel A. M. E. Zion Church and currently is a member of Shabach A. M. E. Zion Church of Vanceboro. 

His funeral service is  10:00 AM,  Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Bryant Chapel A. M. E. Zion Church 506 N.  Main St., Cove City.  Burial with military honors will be held at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville.

He is survived by his son Walter Anderson, Jr. of Lorton, Virginia and daughter Michelle Hearon of Hope Mills, NC; one sister, Sarah Russell of Norfolk, VA and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the residence.
