|Mrs. Martha Jane Kendrick Davis was born on February 7, 1950 in Gastonia, North Carolina to the late James and Betty Jane Graham Kendrick. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Center, Gastonia, North Carolina.
She was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Bowling Green, South Carolina. She was a former member of the Gospel Chorus. She was a native of Gaston County and a 1968 graduate of Hunter Huss High School. She was a Cosmetologist and retired from Morningside Assisted Living. Martha loved her family, shopping, cooking and interior decorating.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Faye Moore and brother, Billy Kendrick.
She leaves to cherish precious memories her husband of forty-seven years, Jerome Davis of the home; son, Tyrome Davis of the home; granddaughter, Courtney Nichols of Greensboro, N.C.; four sisters, Bessie McClure, Rose Nabinett (Alfonza), Debra Bigger (Mike) and Terry Davis all of Gastonia, N.C.; four brothers, Randy Lowry of Atlanta, GA, John L. Kendrick (Carol) of Cherryville, N.C., Richard Kendrick and Anthony Kendrick both of Gastonia, N.C.; one aunt, Sarah Graham; one uncle, Willie Hope Graham (Sally); special family member, Nicole Nichols; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, relatives and friends.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Death can be so difficult to have to deal with. The bible helps us during times such as these. Revelation 21:4 says that God will wipe every tear from our eyes and death and pain will be no more. John 5:28,29 also says that there will be a resurrection of our dead love ones.~ Lisa L
