I wanted to send my love and sympathies to the Clayton family. I'm very sorry for your loss. It's no way to really describe the pain one feels when death overtakes a loved one. Feelings of sadness and grief can be overwhelming during this time of mourning. However, comfort from the scriptures can give you hope. John 5:28,29 speaks of the promise of the resurrection. That scripture says, "Do not be amazed at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." What this can mean for your family is a real hope of being reunited with your dear loved ones.

I am very sorry for your loss. However, Almighty God has provided a guarantee of a resurrection to all people in His memory by resurrecting Jesus from the dead. (Psalm 83:18; Acts 17:31) We will be able to see our loved ones again on a restored earth. (Psalm 37:11, 29) I hope this brings you peace.

To The Family, At Job 14:14, Job asked the question, "If a man dies, can he live again?..." He answers that question in verse 15, "You (Jehovah) will call and I will answer you." Job had confidence in the resurrection hope and we can too (John 5: 28,29). Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Jesus brings this point out at John 11:25. We can be thankful that Almighty God has given Jesus the authority to bring our dear loved ones back from the grave. Please allow the resurrection hope to comfort you.

It seems unfair that death should have the power to take away someone we love. When it happens the thought of never again being able to talk, laugh, comfort, or hold your loved one again can be devastating. My condolences go out to the family. As you prepare to lay your loved one to rest, may you can find comfort from your Bibles at Nahum 1:7. God is a stronghold for the distressed.
