To the Moton family, my deepest sympathies to you. I am very sorry for your loss. God's original purpose for humankind was to live forever in Paradise on a beautiful earth. Death was not part of that original purpose. Unfortunately, in this world we live in, it is all too common to lose our loved ones in death, and it hurts. However, we won't hurt for long. John 5:28,29 says, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice, and come out." What this can mean for you is a real hope of being reunited with your dear loved ones. No doubt, that's a promise that you would like to see fulfilled. I am very sorry for your loss. However, Almighty God has provided a guarantee of a resurrection to all people in His memory by resurrecting Jesus from the dead. (Psalm 83:18; Acts 17:31) We will be able to see our loved ones again on a restored earth. (Psalm 37:11, 29) I hope this brings you peace.
