Gerald Clinton Baker, 77, of Chattanooga, slept into death with loved ones at his bedside at Memorial Hospital Thursday, April 13, 2017.  He retired from Memorial Hospital after 35 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Baker, Sr. and Beatrice Johnson Baker; brothers, Charles, Jr., Herbert and Edward Baker; dear friend,  Andrew Wright.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two sisters, Evelyn Taylor and Joann Sanders (Caregiver); several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, church family and friends.

 

The body will lie in state after 12:00 Noon Wednesday, April 19th.

 

  Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 12:00 Noon, at New Monumental Baptist Church, with Pastor Michael Lacy officiating. Interment: Lakewood Memory Gardens-East.
