Robert “Bar Bar” Lewis Edwards, 65, passed away April 15, 2017.  He was a 1970 graduate of Howard High School and was employed with the Chattanooga Times Free Press.  He was a former member of Union Grove Baptist Church and attended Mount Canaan Baptist Church later in life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cleveland Edwards.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, LaWanda (Victor) Edwards-Young of Lithonia, GA and Shaunda Edwards of Riverdale, GA ; son, Robert Follis, Jr.; mother, Joyce Edwards Davis; companion of over 37 years, Ima Follis; brother Sidney Edwards; grandchildren Zarrya Monroe of Riverdale, GA, Paige Young and Michael Talley, both of Lithonia, GA.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, April 24, 2017 in the funeral home chapel. The body will lie in state after 12 noon Sunday, April 23 and family will receive friends from 6-7 PM at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave.622-9995.
