Mrs. Hazel Hudson transitioned from this life on April 10, 2017. She received her basic education in Tampa and graduated in 1959 from Middleton Senior High School. After receiving her diploma , she continued her post-secondary education at Indian River Community College in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Hazel was united in Holy Matrimony to Harry G. Hudson she worked for the Lilly White Hospital in Tampa as a ward clerk; the Economic Opportunities Council of Indian River County as a teacher’s assistant; and also as a ward clerk at Indian River Medical Center for over 30 years.
Hazel was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. Jim and Mrs. Jessie Barnes; her parents, Mr. Forest and Mrs. Pauline Barnes; son, Harry DeRhanz Hudson; sisters, Helen Barnes Jacobs, Barbara Barnes (Mack) Bell and Betty Barnes (Roy) White.
Left to cherish her precious memories are her husband, Harry G. Hudson; son, Varian (Laura) Hudson; grandchildren, Zoei Lee Hudson and Zayden Shontrezz Hudson; stepchildren, Reginald Hurst, Cynthia Hudson Spann and Harriett Hudson; sistersin-law, Nicey L. Williams, Doris Wright, Emma L. Hudson and Jackye P. Hudson; brothers-in-law, Nathaniel Jacobs, A. Ronald Hudson and Eddie Hudson. She leaves a host of loving relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday April 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel, 3950 Old Dixie Hghwy, Vero Beach, Florida 34946. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery. Viewing will be held on this Friday, April 21, 2017 from 4-7 PM at Stone Brothers Funeral Home Chapel - Vero Beach.
