Mr. Darryl “Zeke” Ezekiel, 57, passed Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, GA.

Funeral service will be 3:30 p.m. EST, Saturday, April 29, 2017 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Min. Robert Warren, officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. EST, Monday, May 1, 2017 in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. Visitation is Friday, April 28, 2017 from 12-8 p.m. EST with a family hour from 6 - 7 p.m. EST.

Mr. Ezekiel was born January 21, 1960 in Columbus, GA to the late Margarette Ezekiel Cooley. He was a graduate of Baker High School; served in the U.S. Air Force; had been employed at Kysor Warren, Columbus, GA and HillPhoenix, Conyers, GA.

Survivors include his wife; Lola Ezekiel of Conyers, GA; two sons; Dontrail of Conyers, GA and Bryce of Talbotton, GA; daughter; Lacharel of Columbus, GA; brother, Edwin ( Katrina) Johnson of Columbus, GA; a host of other relatives and friends.

    Darryl and I went to Baker High School together and then after graduation, we both got Civil Service jobs out at Fort Benning. We didnt really know each other until we worked together, but I remember that Darryl was a great guy and I am so sorry for your loss.
