Luvenia Page Flowers, 80, of 4424 U. S. Highway 17 S, New Bern died Friday, May 12, 2017 at her residence.

Her funeral service is 1:00 PM, Monday, May 15, 2017 at UPHC, Rocky Run 5325 Hwy. 17 S New Bern.  Burial will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

First Lady Flowers is a native of Columbia, SC and was formerly employed in the garment industry at Metts and Maysville Garment Companies.  Her membership at UPHC included serving as a Sunday School teacher, choir leader and Missionary in addition to serving as First Lady of the UPHC-Rocky Run and the Incorporated Church.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Bishop Clarence C. Flowers, Jr. of the home;  children, James L. McNeal  and Gail Brown, Lakeview, SC,
Linda Majette , Cove City, NC, Barbara Mitchell, New Bern, Carolyn Toon, Goldsboro, NC, Jasper Flowers ) and Jerry Flowers, New Bern, Claudia Taylor, Fayetteville, NC, Michelle Flowers, Patricia Bryant, Sophia Jones, New Bern, NC; her brother, Donald Lee Page, High Point, NC; thirty-five grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren

The family will receive friends at the residence.  Viewing hours are Saturday Noon to  4:00 PM and at the church an hour prior to the service.
