        Ms. Willie Mae Monroe, 77, was born January 29, 1940 in Lee County, South Carolina and departed this  life Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Gastonia Care and Rehabilitation in Gastonia, North Carolina.  She was the daughter of the late Willie Monroe and Maggie Williams.

She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Gastonia, North Carolina.

She is survived by one sister, Maggie A. Hardin of Gastonia, N.C.; niece, Juanita M. Partlow of Charlotte, N.C.; two nephews, Levi W. Melvin (Michelle) of Ranlo, N.C. and Isaac T. Melvin of  Gastonia, N.C.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

VISITATION
The family will receive friends at Costner Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 until 1:30 afterward they will load up and head to Gaston Memorial Park
