Ms. Ruthie Gamble, 61, 3159 Kelly Quarter Road, Wrens, Georgia departed this life Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Jefferson County Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church and Cemetery, Louisville, GA

Ms. Gamble was the daughter of the late Blanche Gamble Burton and John Lee Thomas. A member of the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church. A 1975 graduate of Louisville, High School and an employed as a CNA with Family Care. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Leroy Burton.

Survivors include one son, Octavius Burton, Wrens; step father, Willie T. Burton, Sr. Louisville, GA; siblings, Jonas (Sarah) Gamble, Melvin (Loretta) Thomas, Mattie Burton and Arthur Burton, Louisville, GA, Johnny (Mary) Thomas, Elbert (Monica) Thomas, Linda Thomas and Levora Thomas Stapleton, GA, Willie Burton, Jr, Germany, Ricky (Brenda) Thomas, Tampa, FL; Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
