Funeral services for Mr. Richard "Fox" Elmore of 2080 Appleton Road Allendale, SC will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at St Mark Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Cynthia Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Richard “Fox” Elmore was born in Allendale, South Carolina on December 15, 1944 to the late Wesley Elmore, Sr. and the late Bertha Hicks Elmore.He was educated at C.V. Bing Elementary School. He was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church and was later baptized. Richard was joined in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life Eva Mae Badger for over 48 years.  

He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Operating Engineering of Local 470 for many years until his retirement. Richard enjoyed fishing and hunting and he was loved by many.  He was a kind man and he helped raise two children, who he raised as his sons: Willie Badger and Dennis Mitchell.  
He was preceded in death by both parents, three sisters: Jwanette Patterson, Carrie O’Berry and Martha Anderson.

Richard passed away peacefully on June 24, 2017 at his residence.
Richard leaves to cherished his fond memories: a loving and devoted wife of the home Eva Mae Elmore; two sons: Wille (Shirley) Badger of Fairfax, SC and Dennis Mitchell of the home; three brothers: Wesley (Rose) Elmore, Eugene Elmore and Charlie Elmore all of Allendale, SC; three sisters: Ernestine Allen of Allendale, SC, Beulah (Arthur) Badger of Fairfax, SC and Jannie Robert of Aiken, SC; one aunt, Susan Elmore of Allendale, SC; four step-grandchildren: Kasie, Lakeiba, and Lakrista Davis and step-great grandson Chantz Johnson; five brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, loving family and dear friends. 

Visitation will be held on Friday June 30, 2017 at the funeral Home from 1-7 p.m.

Friends may call at his residence or at the funeral home.
