    I am honored to have had the opportunity to have known such as fine and beautiful spirited woman of God!! Mrs. Gatha meant so much to me, because she had compassion towards whomever she met. She will be tremendously missed by all who knew her. May we meet again.

The celebration of life service for Mrs. Gatha C. Tutt, age 70, of Cedartown, will be held on Saturday, July 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Eastview Baptist Church, Rev. Hope Smith Eulogist.  Interment will follow at the Northview Cemetery.  The remains will lie instate at the church one hour prior to the service.

Gatha Cothron Tutt was born on June 11, 1947 to the late Evelyn Cothron Ammons and Charles Williams Ellis, Sr.  She was the oldest of five children, Portia Ellis, Bobbie (Terry) Ector, Charles (Euclin) Ellis and Johnathan (Vanessa) Cook, all of Cedartown, Georgia.

She attended Cedar Hill High School where she enjoyed marching with the band as a majorette.  She was a proud member of the graduating class of 1965.  She became a member of the working class at an early age.  Her first job was babysitting for multiple families.  She later gained employment working with her mother, aunt, cousins and friends at Fox Manufacturing.  She accepted employment for higher wages at Trend Mills where she became the first woman hyster driver.  Her final years of employment was dedicated to Hon Industries (Cedartown, Georgia) where she retired.

She was a dedicated member of Eastview Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and praising God.  She was always testifying about the goodness of God in hopes that others would realize "What God has done for me, he will do for you."

On April 18, 1997 Gatha married the love of her life, Billy Tutt, and through this union a blended family was formed.  Byron Derek (Karen) Powell, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Letittia (B. Stepher) Lee, Cedartown, Georgia, Randy, Alice (Van) Calhoun, Danielle and Danette Tutt, all of Rome, Georgia.  Proceeding her in death were two sons, Vincent Tutt, Sr. and Billy Donell Tutt.  Proud grandmother of 23 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom she loved.
