Mrs. Dorothy M. Bryant Peeples, 77

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Bryant Peeples, was born on August 6, 1939 to the late Mr. Ferris Lee and Lottie Mae Bryant in Brooks County, Georgia.  She was educated in the Brooks County School System. She was caring, outgoing and loved her family and friends.  On July 15, 2017, she passed from this earthly home to receive her eternal rest.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her sons, Tommie Peeples (Gloria), Thomasville, GA, Walter Peeples, Jr., Germany; her daughter, Gardenia Peeples, Indianapolis, IN; three brothers, Robert               Bryant, Dixie, GA, James Bryant (Mary), Frank Bryant (Selena), Valdosta, GA; four sisters, Mary Manson, Thomasville, GA, Ebenezer McFarland (Daniel), Jeanette Brooks (George), Valdosta, GA, Sylvia Bryant, Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Oscar Clark, Wanda Clark, Frederick Clark, Katresa Bryant (Twayun), Joseph Lurry, Bainbridge, Johnathan Lurry (Teresa); eight great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Emanuel-New Beginning Ministries in Dixie, Georgia with Pastor Patricia Goss Anderson officiating. Burial followed in the Emanuel Church cemetery. Condolences may be made by visiting Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

    I'm sorry to hear about your loss. May you find strength from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress." What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
