My heart aches for the Taylor family to lose in death your precious loved one Jewel, way too soon. Words are so limited that can give comfort, so I would like to share with you beautiful scripture where our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18) invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Psalm 34:18 Jehovah promises us that he is going to do away with man's greatest enemy, death. Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises here on earth (Psalm 37:9-11, 29), including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. Our savior, Jesus, said: John 6: 40; "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day". Jesus also said: John 5: 28; "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." John 11:23-25; "Jesus said to her: "I am the resurrection and the life." The one who exercises faith in me, even tho he dies, will come to life." Acts 24:15 tells us: "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous." Hebrews 2:14b enlightens us: "so that through his (Jesus) death, he (Jesus) might bring to nothing the one having the means to cause death, that is, the Devil." I pray that Jesus's promise to reunite us with our loved ones on resurrection day will carry you through the difficult days ahead and gradually replace your tears of grief with tears of joy as you reflect on your precious memories of happier times with Jewel. To the family and friends of the deceased, Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Many have found true comfort from the pages of God's word the Bible (2 Corinthians 1:3-5}. The Bible tells us why we die (Genesis 2:16, 17; Romans 5:12) the condition of the dead (Ecclesiastes 9:5) and that we can be reunited with our loved ones (Acts 24:15). The Bible also tells us where this happy event will take place (Psalm 37:29; 115:16). The promise from the God of the Bible Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) found at Revelation 21:3, 4 gives us the assurance that death will be no more. At John 17:3 Jesus tells us the benefit of reading and studying the Bible. He also said at John 8:32 “and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free".
