Michael Alston was born on January 11, 1964 in Dortches, North Carolina to the late Susie Ann Alston and Mack Arthur Lynch. He departed this life on August 21, 2017 at UNC Medical Center.

He was a 1983 graduate of Northern Nash High School in Nash County, North Carolina. Mike loved talking to people and would talk with anyone, anywhere. He knew no strangers. He had a unique way of making people laugh. In his spare time, Mike enjoyed fishing with his nephew, BJ and loyal friend, Shehadeh.

Mike leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Marsha Alston Foreman and one brother, Barry Alston both of the home; two aunts, Betty Shannon (Larry) of Glasgow, KY and Anita Littlejohn (Donnie) of Bowling Green, KY; one uncle, Donald Alston of Paducah, KY; two nephews, Kevin and BJ; one niece, Kimberly (Tony); three great nephews, Kaiden, Karter and KJ along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Light of Peace Baptist Church with Reverend Russell Battle, officiating.

Burial will follow at Gardens of Gethsemane.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m. at Light of Peace Baptist Church.
