Krystal Dawn Davis, 46, was born August 9, 1971 to the late King V. “Red” and Carolyn J. Davis in Gastonia, North Carolina and passed on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at her home in Bessemer City, North Carolina.  She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Marie Jackson and Richard and Beulah Davis.

Krystal was a graduate of Ashbrook High School Class of 1990 Gastonia, NC and attended: Gaston College; Belmont Abbey and North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina.  At an early age, she joined Friendship Baptist Church (presently Friendship Christian Church) and was formerly employed by Gaston County School System. 

To cherish her memories, Krystal leaves her sister, Angela Marie Hope of Washington, DC and her children: Janay C. Allen of Glen Burnie, MD and Joseph S. Gillis, III of Manhattan, NY; aunt/second mother, Laura J. Lindsay and special cousin/big sister, Sherri M. Lindsay, both of Raleigh, NC; a special Goddaughter, India Zhane Graham of Gastonia, NC; uncles, Paul F. Davis (Tonya) of Gastonia, NC; Cornell Davis (Treva) of Mauldin, SC; aunts, Ophelia Nelson (Arthur) of High Point, NC; Ruby Davis and Emily B. Davis both of Gastonia, NC; a very special family friend, Cheryl Perkins of Gastonia, NC; and caregiver, Phyllis Keith of Bessemer City, NC.  Krystal is also survived by her dog, “Colby”, and a host of other relatives and friends.

    Please accept my sincere regrets over your loss. Death is very difficult to have to deal with. The bible does provide us with comfort and hope during times such as these.
