I am sorry for your loss. Death is always a painful event for us all. However Jehovah offers us comfort in the Bible at Isaiah 25:8. I always find this scripture to be of encouragement. Jehovah promises to do away with death and all things that bring us pain. How satisfying that will be. May joyful memories fill your minds and hearts through this difficult time.

My heart aches for the Bates family to lose in death your precious loved one Elma Ruth. Words are so limited that can give comfort, so I would like to share with you beautiful scripture where our heavenly Father, Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Psalm 34:18 Jehovah promises us that he is going to do away with man's greatest enemy, death. Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises here on earth (Psalm 37:9-11, 29), including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. Our savior, Jesus, said; John 6: 40; "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day". Jesus also said; John 5: 28; "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." John 11:23-25; "Jesus said to her: "I am the resurrection and the life." The one who exercises faith in me, even tho he dies, will come to life. " Acts 24:15 enlightens us: "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous." I pray that Jesus's promise to reunite us with our loved ones on resurrection day will carry you through the difficult days ahead and gradually replace your tears of grief with tears of joy as you reflect on your precious memories of happier times with Elma Ruth. To The Family, God never intended for man to suffer the pain of death. 1 Corinthians 15:26 says, "And the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing." Almighty God is going to remove death forever. What a wonderful future hope. Take comfort in knowing this. Please look forward to the fulfillment of Revelation 21:3,4. Please be assured Jehovah (Psalms 83:18) will comfort you during this most difficult time.

You have my sincere condolences. “May the peace of God that surpasses all understanding guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:7) May the hope of a resurrection right here on a restored earth bring you comfort. (Acts 24:15; Psalm 37:11, 29)

To the Bates family, please accept my sincere sympathies. I'm very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one in death can leave us with feelings of sadness and grief. But there is hope for the future. The Bible teaches that Almighty God is eager to raise our dear lived ones who have died. The faithful man Job asked: “If a man dies, can he live again?” Job was speaking about waiting in the grave until the time came for God to remember him. He said to Jehovah: “You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.”—Job 14:13-15. Just think! Jehovah longs for the time when he will bring the dead back to life. Is it not heartwarming to learn that Jehovah feels that way about our dear loved ones we have lost in death, that he has a desire to resurrect such ones in the near future? No doubt that's a comforting thought. (John 5:28,29)
