Celeste, Curtis, Lavelle, and family: Your mother was a light for the Madison-Morgan County community and beyond. I was blessed to attend the program where your father was installed as the state N.A.A.C.P. President years ago primarily because of Mrs. Laura. I remember her working tirelessly beside him during his tenure; her protective efforts during his illness, and beyond. I know that she has taught you well to persevere during difficulty by keeping "your eyes on the prize." She will be greatly missed because she was loved by those whom she fought for. My heart and prayers remain with you all through this valley. May you rest well in the Savior's arms, Mrs. Laura!

May the God of all comfort give you strength, hope, and peace in this sad time. He cares very deeply about the pain you feel and the loss you just experienced. Philippians 4:6,7. So sorry for your loss.

We're really sorry to hear of the loss of Laura. Our deepest condolences. May you find strength from the words of Psalms 9:9 which reads: “Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress.” What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. So you may find comfort that He has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
