We grew up in Calvary Baptist Church with Ms. Lizzie. I can remember her sitting on the Mothe's / Deaconess Board. She always knew us as Spencer and Lula's Cordell children. In the past few months, I was given the opportunity to see her several times at the Wilson's Nursing Center and after 40 plus years, she readily remembered my parents name, and even called me by name. I give Glory and praise for such a strong lady even until the end. Ms.Lizzie, you have your crown of Glory.. wear it proud. Say hello to my family, I know it will be a glorious celebration in heaven.

Ms. Lizzie was truly one of God's angels here on earth. Her calm, gently and loving spirit embodied her total being, even when her health declined. I will truly, truly miss her. However, there still can be joy for now she has received her heavenly rewards! Ms. Lizzie will be missed but never forgotten. My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to her family.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 34:18. It reads: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
