During his ministry, Jesus showed that he really understood people and had empathy for them. When his close friend Lazarus died, Jesus felt the intense pain that Mary and Martha experienced. His empathy for them was so strong that he began to cry, even though he knew that he was going to resurrect Lazarus.—John 11:33-36. So we can be sure that Jesus is still affected when others are in pain. He understands their grief, and he is able to give them comfort “at the right time.

I would like to offer my condolences for your loss. I hope you will find comfort in knowing that Jehovah, the God of all comfort, will soon eliminate all grief and provide permanent consolation when “all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Christ’s] voice and come out”! (John 5:28, 29) God promises that “he will do away with death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” (Isa. 25:8) Then, instead of having to “weep with those who weep,” all earth’s inhabitants will “rejoice with those who rejoice.”?—Rom. 12:15.

I worked with Jackie for almost 25 years and she was a great employee but more importantly an amazing person. I have missed her since she retired and am deeply saddened by her death. I was fortunate to get know her daughter, Shemika, in the past year and am truly amazed in her character and commitment to her mother. She is a living legacy of Jackie and the life she lived.

I would like to give my condolences to the family during your time of loss. In the short time I knew Ms. Hill I could tell that she was a hard working, kind, loving, and compassionate person. It was also obvious that she took pride her job and helping those in her chosen profession. It takes a special person to perform the work that Ms. Hill did and this is just what she was. It was also obvious how much she loved her family and cherished them when I saw them together. Her eyes and smile lit up when we discussed her family. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and we are appreciative for you sharing Ms. Hill and her talents with our agency and the citizens of Craven County. She had an impact on citizens throughout the entire county from a personal and professional standpoint. God Bless, Geoffrey Marett
