In his younger years, Jesus no doubt had to deal with the deaths of family members and acquaintances. It seems likely that Joseph, his adoptive father, died when Jesus was still a relatively young man.   Imagine how the tenderhearted Jesus, perhaps just in his teens or early 20’s, had to deal with his own grief, as well as that of his mother, brothers, and sisters. During all of your grieving, you too can find soothing comfort from such scriptures as the following: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit.”?—Ps. 34:18, 19. “When anxieties overwhelmed me, you [Jehovah] comforted and soothed me.”?—Ps. 94:19. “May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and gave everlasting comfort and good hope by means of undeserved kindness, comfort your hearts and make you firm.”?—2 Thess. 2:16, 17. I would like to offer my condolences for your loss. I hope you will find comfort in knowing that Jehovah, the God of all comfort, will soon eliminate all grief and provide permanent consolation when “all those in the memorial tombs will hear [Christ’s] voice and come out”! (John 5:28, 29) God promises that “he will do away with death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” (Isa. 25:8) Then, instead of having to “weep with those who weep,” all earth’s inhabitants will “rejoice with those who rejoice.”?—Rom. 12:15.

To the family of Luretta Bryant . I am sorry to read about the loss of your loved one. The pain is tremendous even with the passage of time. There are scriptures in the Bible to help provide relief of grief and distress. Please read Ps 65:2 that reads "The Hearer of prayers a source of comfort in times of grief and distress.

We’re so sorry to hear about your recent loss. It surely is a very difficult time; but we both hope you can find some comfort in the words of Nahum 1:7 which reads: "Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of distress. He is mindful of those seeking refuge in him." Yes, you can rely completely on our Loving God. He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11, 29, Isaiah 55:11). Then death will be gone forever (Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:3,4) Going online at JW.ORG, We have found great articles as well as videos about this resurrection. Your can find out for yourself.
