Eloise M. Couch, 86, of Harrisburg,peacefully transitioned into eternal life onSunday, October 29, 2017 at Hershey Medical Center.

She was born in Camden, AL, daughter of the late Charlie and Mattie (Dell) Matthews, a retired Cosmetologist, a member of First Spirit-Filled Missionary Baptist Church.

Eloise was the widow of Noah Couch and leaves to celebrate her life, her sister, Charlie Mae Kennedy; her half-sisters, Willie Mae and Lula Smith; her brothers, Levan and Benson Matthews; her half brother, Glen David Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. 

Her life will be celebrated on Monday, November 6th at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary of her church, 2605 Locust Lane with viewing 10 until 11 a.m. and burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to the Ministry of Comfort of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton.

    I'm sorry to hear about your loss. May you find strength and comfort from the words of Psalms 34:18. It reads: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
